The Celtic boss declared he did not fear the sack, maintaining, “I believe we are very near to a turnaround,” despite sliding worryingly close to the chopping block with a convincing defeat by Rangers.

Nancy’s Persistent Belief
Nancy remains focused on the fact the side can perform strongly for one half at a time. For instance, but for wastefulness in front of goal they could have been better than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit except the fact that we didn't take a second goal,” he said. “I know that we lost, but I must remain fair.
“The standard we had at times was exceptionally high. This is the reality. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was not the case. But that’s why, in terms of results, I noted we've seen this before. Which is why I feel we are nearly there to getting it right. Currently: small things.”
“There were many, many good things that we did, like today again. However it’s about sustaining it. My outlook would be different if it was not the case. Therefore I am a big believer we’re going to be able to get back on track.”
Röhl’s Cautious Response
Rangers manager was cautious about a title charge even after what felt like a landmark win. “Step by step, then we can develop a challenge,” he said. “The faith in the team is excellent.”
