Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Numerous of fans had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, securing a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
