I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
