The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in California he was 55 years old.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The influential video game developer died after his automobile collided and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts said.
